Archive
Welcome to the Falcon Archive, Links, History and Technical Records section.
The Falcon Archive (Under Construction)
The Falcon Archive is designed as an internet resource and contains a large number of downloadable articles and brochures. It reflects the long and illustrious history of Falcon as a major supplier of audio components to enthusiasts and manufacturers, and the enormous collection of leaflets, articles and brochures accumulated over the years by Malcolm Jones since Falcon was founded in 1972, and many also added from Jerry Bloomfield’s own extensive collection.
Most of these are available for download on this website. If you have an article or material that you feel should be included, please email it to us, we’re always looking to expand the Archive.
Here you will find links to other websites which we have found useful or which can also provide research information on particular brands, designs or technical information. We also list a number of user forum links here. If your site is not shown and you would like us to put in a link, please email us. Please note that Falcon Acoustics is not responsible for the content of any other website or forum, the links are provided purely to help.
Malcolm has written a History of Falcon Acoustics which forms a fascinating history of one of the principal suppliers to the UK and European hifi trade, and which also through the introduction of Self-bonded Ferrite cored inductors led to a spate of Hi-Fi Magazine speaker designs in the 70's as there was no longer a need to use proprietary networks or the still very limited range of proprietary inductors.
Technical Advice & Tips
We are happy to give technical advice by email and you can contact us using the Contact Us button on the Home page. We will do our best to reply as quickly as possible. Most of the vintage Falcon material is safely stored, but takes time to access so please bear with us! Please note that Malcolm is now retired and spends a lot of time with his family, doing P.A./recording for local organisations, and growing ferociously hot chillies....
